Dark Spot Eraser

Hydroquinone is a prescriptive topical cream. It is effective only at the prescriptive strength of 4%. Don’t be fooled by non-prescriptive strength hydroquinone that is offered by over-the-counter cosmetic brands. They are non-effective.
Prescriptive strength Hydroquinone is used to correct conditions of hyperpigmentation such as dark spots, freckling, “age spots”, inactive chloasma, melasma, dyschromia, and skin discoloration. Sometimes these conditions are a result of oral contraceptives, pregnancy, hormone replacement therapy, or skin trauma.

How to use Hydroquinone: Follow label directions. TIPS: After cleansing, apply topically and uniformly to the pigmented area and rub into skin. When the desired depigmentation is obtained, apply only as needed to maintain depigmentation.

Depigmentation effects usually last 2-6 months following discontinuance. Exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet light may cause re-pigmentation, so avoid exposure to sunlight during and after therapy. UVA/UVB sunscreen protection and protective clothing is recommended. Hydroquinone is for external use only. Do not apply to irritated skin, after shaving or using a depilatory agent, or over miliaria rubra (prickly heat). Do not use hydroquinone if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or have sensitivity to sulfites. Keep out of reach of children.
