Look Fabulous, Not Frozen!
Botox is the number one cosmetic procedure in the United States. It is a prescription medicine that is injected directly into the muscles to block nerve impulses, which essentially weakens the muscle and stops the muscle from contracting. Therefore, lines and wrinkles are smoothed.

Also, new research notes that Botox treatment increases the skin’s elasticity and pliability. It acts to eliminate toxins that damage the skin’s elastin and collagen that are produced by facial muscle movement. By paralyzing the facial muscles, Botox gives the skin a chance to heal itself from damage. Essentially, the skin is tightened!

Botox at one practice may not be exactly what you get at another. GLOW uses only FDA-approved Botox Cosmetic brand which is exclusively manufactured by Allergan. Botox is shipped to us directly from Allergan. Federal law prohibits non-FDA-approved drug importation. Be aware that counterfeit “Botox” exists; stay away from “Botox” parties, and any events outside of a licensed medical facility.

Botox is shipped as a frozen powder in a glass vial. In order to inject active units of Botox solution, the practitioner must add saline into the vial to convert Botox to liquid form. During this reconstitution process, some facilities add saline at the recommended standard by Allergan, and others add more saline than recommended. Doing so makes Botox become unstable. Facilities who add more saline are “diluting it down” and are injecting you with less effective Botox. Also, Botox loses its maximum effectiveness 4 hours after reconstitution.

Your injector should be a currently licensed and Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Medical Doctor; these professionals have studied and know where muscles lie and attach. All Botox treatments are performed by our Board Certified nurse practitioners. Because Botox must be injected into muscles, your results largely depend on what muscles and where within the muscle Botox is injected. In other words, always ask for the concentration of Botox, how long it has been diluted, and the qualifications of the injector. With this in mind, please be cautious when practices offer Botox at bargain prices. At GLOW, you will always receive maximum strength, fresh BOTOX; you are assured of the efficacy of the product.

Botox is injected into the targeted muscle using a tiny micro-needle. Results are seen within 10 days. Botox lasts up to four months. Individual results may vary. It is important that you keep your head elevated (e.g., do not lie down or bend over) for approximately 6 hours after BOTOX® Cosmetic injections.

Defy Lines, Defy Gravity!

Dermal fillers reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles, add volume and fullness to the contours of the face and increase the fullness and plumpness of the skin for a more youthful appearance. There is also the benefit of collagen stimulation each time Juvederm is injected! A number of dermal fillers are available, but Juvederm is the best facial filler and no one should settle for less. Juvederm provides instant, natural, long lasting results.

Over time, the effects of aging can take a toll on our appearance. Skin becomes thinner, loses its elasticity, and is more prone to fine lines, wrinkles, creases and folds. Fortunately, it is possible today to restore a smoother, more youthful appearance with the use of dermal fillers, which are injected beneath the skin’s surface to fill depressed areas.

Juvederm Ultra XC and/or Juvederm Ultra Plus XC, are used for correction of creases, wrinkles, nasolabial folds, marionettes lines, smile lines, corner lines, narrow lips, wrinkled lips, deflated lips, or lips that “fold under” when you smile.
Juvederm Voluma is used to gently lift and plump cheeks, restoring a youthful profile to the cheeks. Also, it fills in facial hollows, smoothes facial folds, and offers an instant cheek lift. Juvederm Voluma lasts up to 2 years with optimal treatment.

All forms of Juvederm are smooth injectable Hyaluronic acid gel that replaces the Hyaluronic acid that occurs naturally in your skin, but has diminished over time. The type of Juvederm used is specific to where it will be injected to provide the look desired. Not only will you look younger today, but results may last up to 2 years depending on the type of Juvederm used.

At GLOW, you are not required to buy an entire syringe of any type of Juvederm. We pro-rate the cost so that the only fee is just for the specific amount of Juvederm you use. Your injector should be a currently licensed and Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Medical Doctor; these professionals have expertise and outstanding knowledge. All Juvederm treatments are performed by our Board Certified nurse practitioners. They will work with you to create the perfect look for you.

Kybella kybella_logo

$600 per treatement
Many people who are unhappy with unsightly neck fat no longer need plastic surgery to reduce the appearance of double chin. Now, with the FDA approved non-surgical treatment Kybella, patients can reduce neck fat without undergoing surgery. KYBELLA™ dissolves fat permanently, providing a neck lift without liposuction or surgery. The skin tightens during healing, reducing sagging of the neck region that provides a non-surgical neck lift option that reduces double chins, tones the appearance of the neck, and accentuates your natural jawline.

KYBELLA™ is a safe, synthetic version of deoxycholic acid, a material that occurs naturally in the body. When KYBELLA™ is injected just below the surface of the skin of the neck, it gently breaks down excess fat cells so the body can eliminate them. When this chemical is injected into the treatment area, it destroys fat cells. Once fat cells are destroyed, they can no longer store or accumulate fat. The body then naturally flushes away the dead cells, leaving a contoured, slimmer neck behind.

We customize each KYBELLA treatment based on his assessment of a patient’s unique, personal needs. The injection site and treatment will vary based on the needs and condition of the patient. No anesthesia is needed for the administration of KYBELLA™ injections. Most treatments consist of multiple injections targeting fat pockets under the skin. Patients normally experience only slight swelling and /or minimal (if any) bruising which lasts a few days. Most patients notice a significant difference in appearance starting 3-4 weeks after the first treatment.

Treatment sessions are approximately 20-30 minutes long, Depending on the amount of excess fat under the chin, 2-4 KYBELLA™ treatments are generally needed, spaced out a month apart. The specific number of treatment sessions a patient needs depends on the amount of submental fat and the patient’s personal cosmetic goals. With each treatment, the contouring of the neck and chin are improved and the skin will continue to tighten. Discomfort after treatment typically lessens with each injection. The recovery process is minimal. Once it’s completed, you can return to work, run errands, or complete your other daily activities.

The results following KYBELLA treatments won’t be noticeable right away because of swelling. Even as the swelling diminishes after the first treatment, you may not notice significant changes, because it takes a few weeks for the body to flush away destroyed fat cells. But as you undergo additional treatments, the results gradually become more dramatic.

The Gold Standard in Skincare

Tretinoin also known as Retin-A is considered the most effective, proven topical treatment available for your skin. It’s known by medical professionals as the gold standard in skin care. Tretinoin is a retinoid which is a topical form of Vitamin A.

Tretinoin (Retin-A) works by unclogging pores and speeding cellular turnover while increasing the production of collagen and elastin. Tretinoin blocks the effects of the sun that break down collagen. Therefore, it boosts and creates new collagen production. Because Tretinoin has antioxidant effects, it works at the cellular level to provide preventative and corrective benefits—the things we all want more of, especially as we age! Unfortunately, that aging process starts in our 20s.
Tretinoin is extremely effective. Nothing works more effectively to treat fine lines, wrinkles, texture, pigmentation, aging, pigmentation, acne, and decrease pore size. Tretinoin normalizes how the skin sloughs away dead skin cells. It rapidly increases cellular turnover, eliminating old, bad cells and producing new, plump, healthy cells.

Your skin may need an “adjustment period” as it adapts to Tretinoin. Minor dryness or redness of the skin may initially occur. For this reason, the use of hydration is recommended. After the adjustment period, irritations will permanently disappear. Tretinoin is available in different strengths; the appropriate strength must be prescribed in order to achieve optimal results. Also, directions must be followed, and Tretinoin needs to be applied on a consistent basis.

While the term “Retin-A” is often used generically, it’s actually a trademarked brand-name for Tretinoin. Tretinoin is THE MOST effective skin care product, period. At GLOW, we prescribe and dispense Tretinoin in different strengths (.01%, .025%, .05%, and .1%).

Consumers can be fooled into buying non-prescriptive products that don’t measure up to the advertised claims. Tretinoin is a Retinoid. This is very different than over-the-counter Retinol. Retinol is found in many over-the-counter products that don’t require a prescription. However, retinols are much weaker than prescription-grade retinoids. Over-the-counter retinol is not considered to be effective.

How to use Tretinoin: Each evening, thoroughly wash your face (Skinceuticals LHA Cleansing Gel or Purifying Cleanser).

  1. Use at night. Again, since light renders this product less-effective and can cause skin sensitivity, use Tretinoin only at night. A thin film is sufficient. Use of nightly antioxidants, and daily UVA/UVB sunscreen protection are imperative for beautiful, healthy results.
  2. Start slowly. Ease into Tretinoin by using the lowest strength formula and follow your skin care professional’s recommendations for frequency of use.
  3. Apply to a clean, dry face. It’s best not to apply Tretinoin immediately after washing since water can cause irritation. Wait at least 20-30 minutes.
  4. Don’t be afraid of using it on the upper and lower eyelids; use care not to get into eyes. This powerhouse product is also safe to use on the neck, chest, hands and body. But do keep it away from your mouth and nostrils—since moisture can cause irritation.
  5. Go easy with your exfoliants. You won’t need vigorous scrubbing or strong exfoliant products since cellular turnover is already taking place.
  6. Don’t stop at the first sign of peeling or breakouts. Redness, peeling and a surge of break-outs are common at first. Stay the course as recommended.
  7. When using Tretinoin, facial waxing may cause irritation. Tweezers are recommended, at least while your skin becomes accustomed to Tretinoin.
  8. Use an SPF. Since Tretinoin promotes faster cellular turnover, your skin may become more sensitive to the sun.

There’s a reason Tretinoin is so popular: IT WORKS! It’s never too late to start using Tretinoin. Begin tonight by eliminating old, bad cells, while producing new, plump, healthy cells!

Prescribed and dispensed at GLOW. No office visit fee, no extra stop at a pharmacy!

Dark Spot Eraser

Hydroquinone is a prescriptive topical cream. It is effective only at the prescriptive strength of 4%. Don’t be fooled by non-prescriptive strength hydroquinone that is offered by over-the-counter cosmetic brands. They are non-effective.
Prescriptive strength Hydroquinone is used to correct conditions of hyperpigmentation such as dark spots, freckling, “age spots”, inactive chloasma, melasma, dyschromia, and skin discoloration. Sometimes these conditions are a result of oral contraceptives, pregnancy, hormone replacement therapy, or skin trauma.

How to use Hydroquinone: Follow label directions. TIPS: After cleansing, apply topically and uniformly to the pigmented area and rub into skin. When the desired depigmentation is obtained, apply only as needed to maintain depigmentation.

Depigmentation effects usually last 2-6 months following discontinuance. Exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet light may cause re-pigmentation, so avoid exposure to sunlight during and after therapy. UVA/UVB sunscreen protection and protective clothing is recommended. Hydroquinone is for external use only. Do not apply to irritated skin, after shaving or using a depilatory agent, or over miliaria rubra (prickly heat). Do not use hydroquinone if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or have sensitivity to sulfites. Keep out of reach of children.

VITAMIN D3 Tablets

A Vitamin D3 deficiency has detrimental effects on the skin. Because Vitamin D3 acts as an anti-inflammatory, appropriate levels of Vitamin D3 are preventive and corrective for several skin conditions. Vitamin D3 normalizes skin cell turnover, resulting in the reducing wrinkles, while boosting the skin’s elasticity! Vitamin D3 is also beneficial in brightening your skin and remediating dullness. Also, a deficiency in Vitamin D3 has been found to cause breakouts and acne, so supplementation is necessary to help prevent these conditions. Find your appropriate dosage and help your skin become beautiful at GLOW!

VITAMIN B3 Topical

The Ultimate Barrier

Vitamin B3 acts as a hydrating barrier. Therefore, it blocks air pollution and the free radicals that break down skin. It prevents dullness, wrinkles, and loss of radiance. Use it for hyperpigmentation, sunspots, rosacea, redness, and dry skin. Find it in Skinceuticals Metacell B3.

Plump, Firm, & Hydrate

Vitamin B5 is dexpantenol and hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that binds to water within the skin. The substances deliver intense moisture, resulting in a plumper, more youthful look. It is an absolute must for people with dry skin or have a lack of firmness. Find it in Skinceuticals B5 Hydrating Gel.

SPF are important, but it’s not enough protection by itself. You need to use a sunscreen, but you cannot solely rely on it. Sunscreens at best, only have a duration of 120 minutes. (Be sure to read the label on your sunscreen!) That’s why it’s important to apply an antioxidant daily. Skinceuticals Sunscreens (broad spectrum) SPF 50 are available at GLOW….tinted, non-tinted, moisturizing, or oil-free, we have a sunscreen for you! Don’t forget to SPF your eyes; we have a non-migrating SPF specifically formulated for your delicate skin around the eyes!

The Power Couple! (in one anti-oxident!)

VITAMIN C & VITAMIN E: These topical solutions combined together reverse sun damage, reduce free-radical damage emitted from UVA rays, and lighten and brighten the skin by cleaning up the free radicals and the damage they cause. Vitamin C works with Vitamin E to guard the skin cell’s membrane and strengthen the skin’s barrier function. Therefore, these topical vitamins make sunscreen more effective by sheltering the skin from UV rays, while protecting against skin cancer and premature aging. Don’t use Vitamin C without using Vitamin E; it will act as a pro-oxidant (instead of an anti-oxidant) and speed up oxidation and aging. CE Ferulic is an antioxidant serum provides advanced environmental protection to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Find Vitamin C & Vitamin E together in one solution, Skinceuticals CE Ferulic.

Beauty While you Rest!

RESVERATROL: The skin works around the clock, defending itself from damage by day and repairing at night. At night skin goes into recovery mode repairing the accumulated damage and strengthening its resistance to future damage. The skin naturally contains its own antioxidant defense system which it uses to promote this nightly repair process. With age and ongoing aggression, skin accumulates excessive free radical damage and loses its efficiency to effectively repair at night. This compounded effect leads to accelerated signs of damage such as loss of density, elasticity, and radiance. An antioxidant concentrate boosts the skin’s own antioxidant defense system for improved radiance, elasticity, and density. Repair and prevent accumulated damage nightly with Skinceuticals Resveratrol BE.

Medical grade, pharmaceutical peels customized just for you!

Chemical peels enhance the skin’s condition by stimulating collagen production, removing dead and flaking skin cells and stimulating the production of fresh, young skin cells. We use Glycolic, Lactic, Salicylic, or a combination of acids that address multiple concerns. Plus, the tiny molecular sizes of the acids we use penetrate into your skin. Each acid ranges in strength; our prescriptive peels range from 40% to 90%.

Chemical acid peels are best for diminishing fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, reducing pore size, discoloration, rough texture, acne, oily skin, helping prevent future breakouts, and revitalizing skin.

Over-the-counter peels or “spa” peels are very low in strength, not individualized, and do not compare to prescription strength peels. Your results at GLOW are optimal because the chemicals are customized for you.

Most chemical peel treatment sessions last approximately 20-30 minutes. A UVA-UVB broad spectrum sun block SPF 40 should be applied to the treated area 3 days post-treatment, and should be appropriately used on a daily basis. It is important to abstain from all tanning, including natural sun exposure, tanning lights, creams and sprays.
