Shirley received all of her degrees from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. There she was named to the Dean’s Advisory Council, and to Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities. After graduation, Shirley was also named as a National Health Service Corps Fellow, and was one of only twelve recipients of The National League for Nursing Foundation’s Excellence in Nursing Award. She has provided healthcare services for years in the fields of primary care, dermatology, plastic surgery, and weight loss. After much planning and preparation, she and her daughters, Jennifer and Emily, opened Glow Medical Aesthetics.
